The Committee practically generated fund
from the following sources :
i. By realising application fee @ Rs. 60/- each for
issuing N.O.C. for electrification/private water connection to new buildings.
ii. By realising registration fee from pony carts @
Rs. 60/- each and renewal fee of the registration. (presently not functioning
due to shortage of office assistants).
iii. By realising parking fee from vehicles. This is
done by allotting the work on contract basis to selected bidder after
flooding of short tender (lastly @ Rs. 65,000/- per annum) Rs. 2,40,000/-
iv. The Department of Urbans Affairs has constructed
a shopping complex at Nongstoin having 34 stalls inside. This complex
has not been officially handed over to the Committee, however, the Committee
has utilised it and giving the stalls on rent at the rate of Rs. 200/-
each. As per Government guidelines the Committee after taking over charge
will have to start paying the cost of its construction on installment
basis and MOU is to be signed in this regard.
